Honest Comparison · Updated June 2026

SoccerClubHQ vs Jersey Watch

Both give a youth club a real website plus online registration, at a similar price. The honest difference is how the money moves: Jersey Watch runs on cards only and you have to be on a paid plan to take a single payment. SoccerClubHQ adds ACH bank debit and lets you collect dues on the Free tier.

We keep this page fair. Figures for Jersey Watch are from their public pricing and FAQ as of June 2026 ($29/$49/$79 per month; 3.5% + $1 per transaction; cards/debit only). If they change, tell us at hello@soccerclubhq.com and we'll fix it. Jersey Watch is a good product — see "Where Jersey Watch is genuinely strong" below.

The one number that matters

Take a typical $400 season registration. Put both platforms on their $29/month plan, apples to apples:

$4
SoccerClubHQ (Club, $29/mo)
ACH bank debit — 1%, capped $6
$15
Jersey Watch (Basic, $29/mo)
card only — 3.5% + $1

That's about $11 saved on one registration. Across a 200-player club collecting a $400 fee, it's roughly $2,200 a season that stays with families or in your club's account instead of going to card processors. Families default to bank pay in our checkout; cards are still there for anyone who wants them.

And on the Free tier, you can collect at $0/month

With Jersey Watch, a club website and online registration require a paid plan — you can't take a payment on the free account. SoccerClubHQ collects dues and registration on every tier, including Free. A brand-new club can stand up a site and start taking money the same afternoon without a subscription. (On Free, ACH is 2% capped $8 — still well under a card.)

Where Jersey Watch is genuinely strong

We're not here to trash a decent tool. Jersey Watch is easy to set up, has a strong support reputation, and rates around 4.9 on Capterra. If your club only ever takes card payments and you want the simplest possible website-plus-registration, it's a fair choice. Our pitch isn't "they're bad" — it's that if you collect real money from families, ACH and a free-tier on-ramp save your club meaningfully more.

Frequently asked

Is Jersey Watch really card-only?

Yes — as of June 2026 their published payments are credit/debit card at 3.5% + $1 per transaction; they don't offer ACH bank debit. SoccerClubHQ defaults families to ACH, which is far cheaper on a $400 registration.

Can I take payments on SoccerClubHQ's free plan?

Yes. Dues and registration collection are available on every tier, including Free ($0/month). Jersey Watch requires a paid plan to take payments.

Do you hold our money?

No. Payments run through Stripe straight to your club's own bank account. We charge a transparent platform fee on top of Stripe's processing; we never custody your funds.

What does it cost to switch?

Nothing to start — spin up a free club, rebuild your site and registration, and point families at the new link. Keep collecting on Jersey Watch until you're ready to flip.
